MICHAEL CLARK COMPANY AT FESTIVAL DE DANSE DE CANNES

Michael Clark Company presents come, been and gone at the Festival de Danse de Cannes. Made primarily to the music of David Bowie, come, been and gone also embraces the work of key collaborators – Lou Reed and Brian Eno – and touches on some of Clark’s influences – the Velvet Underground and Kraftwerk amongst others.

Artistic Director, Frédéric Flamand’s theme for the 2011 festival is ‘New Mythologies’.

come, been and gone will be performed on 25 November at the Theatre Debussy, Festival de danse de Cannes.

LUCIAN FREUD EXHIBITION AT BLAIN|SOUTHERN ANNOUNCED

A comprehensive survey of works on paper by Lucian Freud (1922–2011), curated by William Feaver, will be exhibited at Blain | Southern from 17 February to 6 April 2012. Co-organised with Acquavella Galleries, New York, where the exhibition will be shown in June 2012, ‘Lucian Freud Drawings’ coincides with a major retrospective of Freud’s portraits at the National Portrait Gallery, London, curated by Sarah Howgate.

Violette Editions is producing the catalogue for Blain | Southern and Acquavella Galleries – details will be announced shortly.

The US launch of Michael Clark’s long awaited book will take place at Artists Space, New York, on Sunday, 30 October 2011, at 6.30 pm: Michael Clark will be signing copies of the new Violette Editions publication.
